Outtacontroller is the kind of band you want to see live over and over again. Unfortunately, most bands of this persuasion do not produce the kind of recordings you want to listen to over and over again. Outtacontroller has not at all struggled here. Their recordings are expertly nonchalant without being self-destructive. Don’t Play Dumb is chalk full of interesting songs, boundless energy, and wildly enjoyable lyrics. - P. TRASH RECORDS
